Earlier this year, NJR responded to support Incident Management Team (IMT) efforts in the role of Safety Officer during a train derailment in the Sierra Mountains that resulted in three rail cars that were loaded with coal falling into a local river.
Through thoughtful risk analysis and working with Operations, NJR assisted in mitigating risks caused by deploying boom in fast current, inclement weather, and lifting operations.
