On April 26, 2023, NJR provided the Common Operating Picture (COP) for the Washington State Maritime Cooperative (WSMC) cross-border exercise with Western Canada Marine Response (WCMRC). WSMC stood-up an Incident Management Team (IMT) in Port Angeles, Washington, while the Canadian partners operated an IMT in Victoria, BC. NJR supported the Port Angeles team with a COP that integrated a live WCMRC drone video stream, provided reference tables for resources and assignments, and an up-to-date map with simulated overflight observations, operational divisions, and deployed vessels.
This is NJR’s second successful cross-border exercise with WSMC and WCMRC.
