NJ Resources, Inc. (NJR) assisted in the design and successful execution of a Tier III full scale exercise conducted for Shell in The Hague, The Netherlands in June, 2017. The exercise, involving a scenario with a simulated sub-sea well control problem and subsequent release of oil, was conducted over the course of two days and was preceded by emergency and crisis training for the incident management team. Over 150 people participated in the exercise and this included personnel from both the incident response and corporate crisis management teams worldwide.
Over the two-day program there were several VIP-guided tours made up of agency and industry professionals alike. These escorted tours provided the opportunity for tour members to view and discuss the various activities ongoing in the command post, the simulation rooms, and in the coordinated press and liaison arenas
