NJR was contracted to manage a hazmat remediation response after 100 gallons of an insecticide was accidentally discharged at a rural airport after a transfer hose failed.  The insecticide leached into the porous surface of a parking lot presenting a potential threat to a nearby drinking water source.  NJR coordinated response activities with a certified hazmat remediation company ensuring approximately 10 cubic yards of contaminated soil was safely removed, remediated, and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations.
